Alessandra Martines (born September 19, 1963 in Rome ) is an Italian film actress .

Life

Alessandra Martines grew up in France from the age of five. In Paris she graduated from drama school. At the age of 15 she was on stage at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich . In 1981 she moved to the United States , where she worked in theaters in New York and Chicago . From the mid-1980s, she made her first television appearances and theater engagements in Italy and France.

Martines became known, especially in German-speaking countries, for her title role in Princess Fantaghirò . In addition, she appeared in several Italian-French co-productions, which usually her husband, Oscar winner Claude Lelouch , director led. The two met in 1993 and married two years later. Their daughter Stella was born on October 10, 1998. In 2008 Martines and Lelouch divorced.
