Pierre Vaneck

Pierre Vaneck (born April 15, 1931 in Lạng Sơn Province , Vietnam , † January 31, 2010 in Paris ) was a French film and theater actor .

life and work

The son of a Belgian officer spent his youth in Antwerp and after attending school began studying medicine in Paris before enrolling at the private drama school Cours Simon founded by actor René Simon .

As a theater actor from 1952 he was known for his performances in comedies . In 1988 he was awarded the Molière Theater Prize for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Le Secret . In 1995 he was also nominated for the Molière Theater Prize for Best Actor .

For the French television station TF1 he was an actor in the television series Les Cœurs brûlés in 1992 and then in France 3 in 2001 also an actor in the Fabien Cosma . In 2005 he played Paul of Tarsus in the second part of the TV series Imperium , Nero - The Dark Side of Power . In German dubbing , Otto Mellies was his German voice actor.

Most recently, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the César in 2009 for his role in Days or Hours ( Deux jours à tuer ) .

Pierre Vaneck was the grandfather of the young French actors Aurélie Vaneck and Thibault Vaneck , who played the roles of Ninon Chaumette and Nathan Leserman in Plus belle la vie , the French equivalent of the German Lindenstrasse .
