action

Ahenobarbus, little Nero's father, is murdered before his eyes.

He himself is separated from his mother Agrippina on the instructions of the cruel emperor Caligula and sold into exile into slavery. Here he grows up with young Acte , a slave girl with whom he falls in love. When Caligula is murdered ten years later, Nero's uncle Claudius becomes the new emperor of Rome .

Nero can now come back from exile and begin his political career: emperor, artist and bon vivant.

But power corrupts and Nero's dream of making Rome a better empire soon turns into a nightmare. He set fire to Rome and crucified thousands of Christians on the Via Appia .
