Andrea Guerra (born October 22, 1961 in Santarcangelo di Romagna , Province of Rimini ) is an Italian composer .

biography

Andrea Guerra is the son of the Italian poet and screenwriter Tonino Guerra . He studied composition in Bologna under Ettore Ballotta and moved to Rome , where he was able to establish himself as a film composer. Since his debut with Eine Liebesreise , a drama by Ottavio Fabbri and starring Omar Sharif and Lea Massari , he has composed for Italian productions such as Die Ahnungslosen , Lampedusa and Pius XII. as well as for international productions like Accidentally Married , Letters to Julia and Hotel Ruanda . For the latter, he and Rupert Gregson-Williams received a European Film Award for Best Film Music in 2005 .
