Ottavio Fabbri

Ottavio Fabbri (born September 15, 1946 in Milan ) is an Italian filmmaker and painter .

Life

Fabbri graduated from the University of Urbino in political science and then attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia , where he graduated in directing. At the “Festival dei Popoli di Firenze” in 1973 his documentary film Marrakesh, a Special Trip, made with some colleagues, was released . A then with Michelangelo Antonioni developed screenplay was not implemented.

His feature film debut came out in 1975. Movie Rush was an ironic look at the film business; However, the critics noted above all a nude appearance by actress Loredana Bertè . After two documentaries about Formula 1 and a concert film, he wrote the screenplay for Joe D'Amato's highly controversial Buio omega . Fabbri turned to production; Six television films by Stefania Casini were made. In 1989 he returned to the director's chair before completely turning his back on film.

From then on Fabbri devoted himself entirely to painting; his works are shown internationally.
