Loredana Bertè
Loredana Bertè [loreˈdaːna berˈtɛ] (born September 20, 1950 in Bagnara Calabra ) is an Italian singer . Not least because of her participation in ten editions of the Sanremo Festival , she gained notoriety . She is credited with introducing various stylistic innovations into Italian pop music, such as reggae and rap .
biography
Bertè was born the third of four daughters in the province of Reggio Calabria and spent her childhood in Porto Recanati . Together with her sister Domenica , she moved to Rome in 1965 , where she gained her first musical experience as a dancer in the Piper Club disco . There she met the (then unknown) musician Renato Zero , with whom she worked from now on: Both performed as dancers with Rita Pavone and as part of Don Lurio's dance group , among others. a. even at major events such as Partitissima or Canzonissima . With Zero, she also appeared as a body painter . In the musical comedy Ciao Rudy she later appeared on the side of Paola Borboni ; This was followed by a scandalous nude appearance in the musical Hair , as a result of which Bertè, also inspired by the composer Bill Conti , finally turned to music.
Her debut album Streaking was released in 1974 and caused scandals again due to the provocative record cover and daring lyrics. The singer had her first success in 1975 with the single Sei bellissima . The second album Normale o super followed in 1976, at the same time Bertè had appearances in several films. At the end of the 1970s she was able to enter the album charts for the first time, which was mainly due to the success of the single E la luna bussò (1979) written by Ivano Fossati . From then on, Fossati also replaced Mario Lavezzi , her long-time producer. Bertès's fame rose again with her participation in the 1982 Festival Bar competition, where she won with the song Non sono una signora . Other well-known songs followed: Il mare d'inverno (on jazz ) by Enrico Ruggeri , Ragazzo mio (on savoir faire ) by Luigi Tenco and Acqua (on Carioca ) by Djavan . When she took part in the Sanremo Festival in 1986 , the singer presented the song Re by Mango . Your appearance caused another scandal. Already in 1988 she returned with the song Io by Tony Cicco back to the festival.
In 1989, after separating from Roberto Berger in 1987, with whom she had been married for four years, Bertè married the Swedish tennis player Björn Borg , after which she briefly withdrew from music. But in 1992 she separated again by Borg and returned in 1993 to the Sanremo Music Festival, where she and her sister Mia Martini and the song Stiamo come stiamo took. On the following album Ufficialmente dispersi Bertè appeared for the first time as a lyricist of her songs. After another participation in the festival with Amici non ne ho , she brought out the live album Bertex - Ingresso Libero , in which she again worked with her sister and Renato Zero. The year 1995 brought another Sanremo participation (with Angeli & angeli ) and the compilation Ufficialmente ritrovati with it, but it also had a hard stroke of fate for the singer: the death of Mia Martini.
Bertès next album Un pettirosso da combattimento (1997), which was preceded by a participation in Sanremo , was largely dedicated to her deceased sister. The following year her second live album, Decisamente Loredana , was released, again in collaboration with Renato Zero. After a long break, during which the singer once again took part in the Sanremo Festival ( 2002 with the song Dimmi che mi ami ) and the reality show Music Farm , the next studio album Babybertè was not released until 2005. With second place it is her biggest chart success so far. The album also resulted in a special and a live edition. After public disputes with the organizers of the Sanremo Festival, she returned in 2008 with the song Musica e parole , which, however, was disqualified at the festival because it turned out to be an illegal cover . This was followed by the compilation Bertilation and the EP Lola & Angiolina Project together with Ivana Spagna .
Her next participation in the Sanremo Festival was in 2012 in a duet with Gigi D'Alessio : Her song Respirare reached fourth place in the final. On the fourth evening of the festival, she also performed with Nina Hagen . In the 14th edition of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi (2014/2015) Bertè acted as a juror. In November 2015, the singer's first autobiography was published under the title Traslocando . 2017 she worked with J-Ax & Fedez their album Comunisti col Rolex together in 2018 she was the summer hit Non ti dico no of Boomdabash involved. In the same year her next album LiBertè was released . At the Sanremo Festival 2019 she presented the song Cosa ti aspetti da me and again achieved fourth place.
