The media group came into being in the early 1970s when the publishing house of his name, founded by Angelo Rizzoli in 1909 as a printing company, took over several stakes in the Corriere della Sera publishing house .
She publishes various daily newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Gazzetta dello Sport ) and periodicals (Oggi, Visto, OK La salute prima di tutto, Novella 2000, Astra, Domenica Quiz, Domenica Quiz Mese, Max, L'Europeo, Newton, Amica, Anna , Brava Casa, Dove, Gulliver, Donna e Mamma, Dolce Attesa, Insieme, Io e il mio bambino, La guida di Io e il mio bambino, Cipria e Imagine).
She also appears or has appeared as a radio operator and book publisher (Rizzoli, Bompiani, Fabbri Editori, Bur, Sonzogno , Sansoni, La Nuova Italia, Marsilio Editore, Archinto e La Coccinella). The book division and use of the Rizzoli brand in the book market was sold to Mondadori in April 2016 for around 127 million euros .
In Spain some newspapers like El Mundo , Marca or the business magazine Expansión are published. Over a third of the RCS MediaGroup workforce works in Spain .
The RCS MediaGroup organizes important Italian cycling races such as the Giro d'Italia , Milan – Sanremo , Tirreno – Adriatico and the Lombardy Tour .
