Hans Matheson

Hans Matheson (born August 7, 1975 in Stornoway , Scotland ) is a Scottish film and theater actor .

Life

Matheson was born in a trailer , the elder of two sons . Shortly thereafter, the Stornoway family moved to Canterbury ; nevertheless Matheson spent many summers in Scotland with his grandparents. As a child, his parents Iain (other sources: Ado) and Sheena took him to folk festivals and concerts by Bob Dylan . This is how Hans became interested in show business.

Still, the talent ran in the family. His father is a musician and his grandfather is also a Gaelic singer and songwriter , who toured Scotland with his lyrics and his Ceili Dancing .

As a child, Hans Matheson was considered an introverted and shy person who was not happy with attending school. So he broke it off and, thanks to the influence of his mother, went to Avondalle Hall in Clapham , an institution dedicated to drama .

First he was in smaller stage productions at the Royal Court Theater before he made his film debut in an episode of the television series The Bill in 1995 - Matheson was 20 years old . However, he did not achieve his breakthrough until 1998 as Marius in Bille August's drama Les Misérables . He became better known internationally through blockbusters like Sherlock Holmes and Clash of the Titans , in which he shot for the second time with Gemma Arterton . Both met before filming Tess von den d'Urbervilles .
