Synetic (formerly Synetic - The Funfactory ) was a German software development company specializing in racing games, based in Gütersloh , until its dissolution on May 6, 2014 . The successor company is Vitrios GmbH.

Company history

The company was founded in 1996 by five former members of Ascaron as a computer game development studio and specialized in racing games. This team was later expanded to include three members. The name "Synetic" is derived from "Synergy" and symbolizes the great importance of the team spirit of the developers. The first publication took place in 1997 with Have a NICE day! . Between 2006 and 2012 the developer published six games for the TV series Alarm for Cobra 11 via Playtainment and later via the German publisher dtp entertainment . On April 1, 2014, the team withdrew completely from the computer game industry in order to focus exclusively on industrial applications in the future. The nickname "The Funfactory" was also given up.

On May 5 and 6, 2014, the two companies belonging to Synetic, SYNETIC Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH and SYNETIC GmbH & Co. KG, were dissolved and transferred to liquidation . All Synetic projects and patents were transferred to the successor company Vitrios GmbH.
