Dieter Bellmann (born July 24, 1940 in Dohna ; † November 20, 2017 in Leipzig ) was a German actor and director .

Life

Dieter Bellmann was a graduate of the Leipzig Theater School , which he attended from 1958 to 1961. From 1961 to 1967 he was engaged at the Theater Junge Generation in Dresden . Then he moved back to Leipzig . He worked there for 30 years until 1997 at the Schauspielhaus, where he also worked as a director. Between 1968 and 1982 he appeared in a dozen productions at the Moritzburg television theater , for example in Alexander Nikolajewitsch Ostrowski's The Kater Tastes Every Mouse ... (1970), Frigyes Karinthy's The Magic Armchair (1975), Johann Friedrich Freiherr von Cronegk's The Mistrustful (1976) and Helmut Grosz ' Ready for a Cure' (1982). He repeatedly showed his love for cabaret through cabaret productions, e.g. B. with a Loriot evening in the Leipzig “Funzel”, which he remained loyal to until the end.

Bellmann's distinctive and sonorous voice was used for documentaries, dubbing and audio book productions. He had already worked as a speaker during his student days. For the German Central Library for the Blind in Leipzig , he spoke literary works on tape. As a voice actor, he lent his voice a. a. James Mason , Alain Delon , Donald Sutherland , Jonathan Pryce , David Suchet , Maurice Roëves and Ennio Fantastichini .

Bellmann's film career began in the 1960s. DEFA productions of children's and fairy tale films, which he directed, were z. B. Sleeping Beauty , Hare and Hedgehog and The Enchanted Brothers . In the 1970s and 1980s he stood in front of the camera in many episodes of the police call 110 for the DFF and the GDR television . From 1998 to the end of 2014 Dieter Bellmann played the clinic director of the fictional Sachsenklinik in Leipzig, Professor Gernot Simoni, in the ARD series In all friendship and later had a few guest appearances in this series as well as a guest appearance in 2015 in the television series In All Friendship - The young doctors . In episodes 38 and 45 of the youth series Finally Saturday , Bellmann was the farmer Lindemann.

Bellmann also accompanied several productions as a television director.

He was married to the actress Astrid Höschel-Bellmann and had a son. He was involved as a volunteer ambassador for the Children's Hospice Central Germany Nordhausen Foundation . V. in Tambach-Dietharz .

Dieter Bellmann died in November 2017 at the age of 77. His lawyer, Christian Schertz, contradicted some media statements that he had died of an alleged illness, but stated that Bellmann had "fell asleep peacefully". The funeral took place in the Leipzig south cemetery .
