Ennio Fantastichini (born February 20, 1955 in Gallese , Viterbo province , † December 1, 2018 in Naples ) was an Italian film actor .

Life

Fantastichini was born the youngest of two sons of a Carabiniere and moved with his family to Fiuggi near Rome in 1975 , where his father took over the command of the local police station. His brother Piero Fantastichini , who was six years older than him, is now a well-known sculptor and artist . Fantastichini studied drama in Rome at the Accademia nazionale d'arte drammatica "Silvio D'Amico" drama school founded by Silvio D'Amico , but was already on the theater stage at the age of 15.

He made his debut as a film actor in 1983 in the feature film Fuori dal giorno . He has appeared in around 70 films and TV series in front of the camera. In the historical film I ragazzi di via Panisperna , he played the scientist Enrico Fermi , who was followed in 2000 by the part of Herod in Jesus legends - Joseph of Nazareth . He also represented a historical character in 2002 when he played Napoleon Joseph Bonaparte in the miniseries . In the German-speaking countries, the television series Alone Against the Mafia , in which Fantastichini was seen in 1995, as part of the seventh season, became known.
