The province of Viterbo ( Italian Provincia di Viterbo ) is an Italian province in the Lazio region . The capital is Viterbo . The province has 60 parishes.
In the northwest it borders on Tuscany ( Province of Grosseto and Province of Siena ), in the northeast on Umbria ( Province of Terni ), in the east on the Province of Rieti , in the south on the metropolitan city of Rome and in the west on the Tyrrhenian Sea . The province was established in 1928.
