Civitella d'Agliano is 104 km north of Rome and 28 km north of Viterbo . It is located on a hill above the valley of the Tiber . The municipality extends from the hills of the Tuscia to Lake Alviano, a nature reserve of the WWF .
Case Nuove, Pian della Breccia, San Michele in Teverina, San Sebastiano and Spoletino belong to the municipality.
Its neighboring municipalities are Alviano ( TR ), Bagnoregio , Castiglione in Teverina , Graffignano , Guardea (TR), Montecchio (TR), Orvieto (TR) and Viterbo .

history
A first castle called Agliano was built around the year 1000 and was taken over by the Monaldeschi family in the 11th century, who determined the fate of the place for the next few centuries. In 1415 he came to the Apostolic Chamber .
The Curia Bishop Stefano Scerra (1775-1859) was born in Civitella d'Agliano.
