Cellere is an Italian commune with 1110 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Viterbo in the Lazio region .

geography

Cellere is 117 km northwest of Rome and 41 km northwest of Viterbo . It is located in the Monti Volsini between Lake Bolsena and Tuscania . The medieval town center extends on a long, narrow tuff hill. The village of Pianiano and the hamlet of Gabeletta belong to the municipality.

The neighboring municipalities are Arlena di Castro , Canino , Ischia di Castro , Piansano , Tessennano and Valentano .
