Castiglione in Teverina is a municipality with 2305 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Viterbo in the Italian region of Lazio .

geography

Castiglione is 108 km north of Rome , 37 km north of Viterbo and 17 km southeast of Orvieto . It is the northernmost municipality in Lazio in the Tiber Valley . The medieval town center rises on a hill that slopes steeply into the valley.

The districts Sermugnano and Vaiano belong to the municipality.

The neighboring municipalities are Bagnoregio , Civitella d'Agliano , Lubriano and Orvieto ( TR ).
