Vineyards around Orvieto

The Orvieto DOC is an Italian white wine grown in the provinces of Terni ( Umbria region ) and Viterbo ( Lazio region ). Since 1971 the wines have had the status of a Denominazione di origine controllata , DOC for short, which was last updated on March 7, 2014. It is therefore one of the few wine-growing areas in Italy whose denomination extends over two regions.
