Moscato di Terracina

With the designation Terracina DOC or Moscato di Terracina DOC , Italian white wines (dry or sweet) as well as passito and sparkling wines are developed in the province of Latina (region of Latium ). The wines have had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 2007 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

Cultivation

The wines are produced in the province of Latina in the following municipalities: Monte San Biagio , Terracina and Sonnino .

The following composition of grape varieties is prescribed:

  • Terracina or Moscato di Terracina : must contain at least 85% of the Moscato di Terracina grape variety . A maximum of 15% of other white grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Lazio region may be added (individually or together).
  • The sparkling wine must be made from Moscato di Terracina.
