Roma (wine)
With the name Roma DOC , Italian red, rosé and white wines as well as sparkling wines are developed in the metropolitan city of Rome ( Lazio region ). The wines have had a "controlled designation of origin " (Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC ) since 2011 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

The following composition of grape varieties is prescribed:
- Bianco and Romanella Spumante : must consist of at least 50% Malvasia del Lazio grape varieties . A maximum of 35% Bellone , Bombino , Greco Bianco , Trebbiano Giallo , Trebbiano verde may be added (individually or together). A maximum of 15% other white grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Lazio region may be added.
- Rosso and Rosato : must consist of at least 50% Montepulciano grape varieties . A maximum of 35% Cesanese Comune , Cesanese di Affile , Sangiovese , Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc and / or Syrah (individually or together) may be added. A maximum of 15% other white grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Lazio region may be added.

Wines with the addition of Classico must come from the historically traditional zone (except Romanella Spumante ).
