Marcellina is a municipality in the metropolitan city of Rome in the Italian region of Lazio with 7180 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located 43 km northeast of Rome and 11 km north of Tivoli .

geography

Marcellina is located in the Monti Lucretili north of Tivoli. It is a member of the Comunità Montana Monti Sabini e Tiburtini .

The neighboring towns are Guidonia Montecelio , San Polo dei Cavalieri and Tivoli .

traffic

The state road 636 connects Marcellina with Tivoli and the A24 motorway , exit Tivoli. The Palombara-Marcellina train station (4 km from the town center) is on the Rome – Avezzano railway line.
