Marano Equo is a municipality in the metropolitan city of Rome in the Italian region of Lazio with 782 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located 60 km east of Rome .

Marano Equo is located on a ridge of the Monti Ruffi above the valley of the Aniene . It is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle dell'Aniene .

The neighboring towns are Agosta , Anticoli Corrado , Arsoli , Cervara di Roma , Rocca Canterano and Roviano .
