The Comunità Montana Valle dell'Aniene is an association of a total of 31 municipalities in the Italian metropolitan city of Rome . It was formed by the usually quite small communities, which are at least partly in mountainous regions, in order to strengthen the economic development of the region and to stop the emigration of the population. Further tasks are the strengthening of tourism, nature conservation and the preservation of rural culture.
The area of the Comunità Montana includes the valley of the Aniene , a tributary of the Tiber , as well as the surrounding mountain regions of the Monti Simbruini, the Monti Luucretili, the Monti Ruffi and the Monti Ernici. Its administrative headquarters are in Madonna della Pace, a district of Agosta. The main city is Subiaco.
