Leo Breuer Prize
The Leo Breuer Award is an international award for artists, currently endowed with 5,000 euros by the Rhineland Regional Council, which is awarded every two years (with one exception) in memory of the German painter, draftsman and sculptor Leo Breuer, who died in 1975 Rheinische LandesMuseum Bonn is advertised and awarded.
Leo Breuer's important late work is characterized by a consistently constructivist, systematic way of thinking. With this in mind, the Leo Breuer Prize will be awarded to contemporary artists whose works are committed to dealing with a constructive, geometric design language and a systematic approach.
