San Cesareo is a municipality in the metropolitan city of Rome in the Italian region of Lazio with 16,092 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is 39 kilometers east of Rome .

The municipality was part of the Zagarolo municipality until 1990 .

San Cesareo is located in the Sacco valley between the Alban Mountains and the Monti Prenestini. It is a member of the Comunità Montana dei Castelli Romani e Prenestini .
