Nazzano is an Italian commune in the metropolitan city of Rome in the Lazio region with 1355 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located 46 km north of Rome .

Nazzano lies on a ridge west of the Tiber . A large part of the municipality is part of the Nazzano Tevere Farfa nature reserve .

Carlo Cola (Citizen List Insieme per Nazzano ) was elected mayor in June 2009. He replaced Roberto Rosati (since 2004). Alfonso Giardini has been mayor since May 26, 2014.

Attractions

The Castello Savelli was first mentioned in 1073. It can still be seen today in its Romanesque state. The castle is not open to the public.
