René Gottwald (born November 30, 1973 in Greifswald ) is a German football player .

Career

Born in Greifswald, René Gottwald came to FC Hansa Rostock via the Greifswalder SC youth team , where he moved up to the second division squad for the 1992/93 season and made his debut in the second highest German division on June 6, 1993. In the 1993/94 season , the striker completed nine missions in 1994/95 again, but failed to score a goal.

After Rostock's promotion to the Bundesliga in 1995, Gottwald, who had made his only appearance for Rostock in the 1994/95 DFB Cup , left the club in the direction of the Lower Rhine , where he mostly played in the association and major league for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , FC Wegberg -Beeck , SV Straelen , TuRU Düsseldorf , VfB Speldorf as well as Rot-Weiss Essen II and TuRa 88 Duisburg ran aground.

René Gottwald worked as an assistant coach at Mülheimer Spielverein 1907 in the 2010/11 season .
