Hans-Ulrich Lüdemann

Hans-Ulrich Lüdemann (born October 4, 1943 in Greifswald ; † September 23, 2019 in Berlin ) was a German writer .

Life

Hans-Ulrich Lüdemann studied German, pedagogy, psychology and sports science at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University and from 1966 worked for the Junge Welt Berlin publishing house. After 1969 he was a freelance writer, journalist and cameraman in Berlin. Since an accident in 1977, while the NVA for reservists service had been drafted, he was on a wheelchair dependent.

He has published numerous children's books, thrillers and radio plays, and has repeatedly dealt with his disability in literary terms; In addition to the autobiographical novel The White Chair , his Happy Rolliday books should also be mentioned here, in which he describes his experiences on numerous trips abroad. His work, written together with Hans Bräunlich , appeared under the pseudonym John U. Brownman .
