A murder team (original title: De l'autre côté du périph ) is a French comedy film by director David Charhon from 2012 with Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte in the lead roles . In Germany, the film opened in cinemas on March 21, 2013.

Ousmane is a police officer with the fraud department in the Parisian suburb of Bobigny and a single father. In order to uncover illegal machinations in the French upper class, he has been following a group of criminals from the Parisian underworld for six months.
When he meets an informant, young people accidentally discover the body of the wife of the chairman of the French employers' association nearby and inform Ousmane. At the scene of the crime, he meets the detective Parisian detective François with a brand new company car. Ousmane suspects a connection with his own investigation and arranges a cooperation against the will of the commissioner.
In the course of the investigation, the two commissioners commute between the upper class and suburban society, which leads to some entanglements. Despite their contradictions, they develop over time into a well-coordinated and complementary team. The official investigation of the case fails, however, because of Ousmane's unconventional methods, which anger influential suspects and even cost him the job of the police. In the end, however, the friendship between François and Ousmane outweighs their contradictions and the adverse circumstances, so that they manage to solve the case and convict the murderer.
