Lionel Abelanski (born October 22, 1964 in Paris , France ) is a French actor .

biography

Lionel Abelanski studied acting at the Cours Florent and then played theater. He made his screen debut in 1989 in a small role in Coline Serreau's love comedy Milk and Chocolate with Daniel Auteuil and Firmine Richard . Abelanski achieved greater international fame through his portrayal of Schlomo in Radu Mihăileanu's tragic comedy Train of Life . The film about a Jewish community pretending to be deported received international critical acclaim and won several film prizes. Abelanski was among others at the presentation of the French film award César in 1999 as Best Newcomer nomination.
