Hans-Jürgen Kintrup

Hans-Jürgen Kintrup (* October 1945 in Waldmünchen ; † December 30, 2013 in Nördlingen ) was a German painter and teacher .

Life

Hans-Jürgen Kintrup was born in Waldmünchen in 1945 . After graduating from high school in Lauingen, he moved to Munich in 1965 to study at the Academy of Arts . During his studies in 1967 he completed an internship at the DS Alman Lisesi in Istanbul . In 1970 he obtained his degree in art education, followed by his diploma in 1971 and his second state examination in 1972. From 1972 to 1979 he taught as an art teacher in Straubing. He then worked at the DS Istituto Giulia in Milan from 1979 to 1985 . In 1985 Kintrup moved to Nördlingen , where he worked as an art teacher at the local Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium until 2009. During his time in Nördlingen he was very active in the local art scene. Since the 80s he was a member of an artist group around Oskar Bernhard, Jörg Kicherer, Wolfgang Mussgnug, Ute Sternbacher-Bohe, Pater Hugo Weihermüller and Brigitte Wilhelm , which maintained an intensive exchange and met regularly, at least four weeks.

Kintrup died in Nördlingen in December 2013 after a long illness.

In 1992 Hans-Jürgen Kintrup was awarded the art prize of the Sparkassengalerie Nördlingen.
