Brigitte Wilhelm

Brigitte Wilhelm (* 1939 in Heilbronn ) is a German sculptor and artist .

Professional development

Brigitte Wilhelm studied from 1959 to 1965 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart , from 1961 to 1965 she studied sculpture under Otto Baum . Since 1968 she has lived in Neresheim as a freelance sculptor, where she taught art at the grammar school from 1968 to 2002. As a freelance sculptor, she creates sculptures in bronze, stone and plexiglass. Her other artistic works include graphic works and installations. Since 1978 her work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions. In 2004 she received the art prize of the Sparkassengalerie Nördlingen. Brigitte Wilhelm has been a member of an artist group around Oskar Bernhard, Paul Groll, Jörg Kicherer, Hans-Jürgen Kintrup , Wolfgang Mussgnug, Ute Sternbacher-Bohe and Hugo Weihermüller since the 1980s . She also exhibited several times with the artist Koichi Nasu .
