The Kolors is an Italian band formed in Naples in 2010 . She gained fame across Italy in 2015 when she won the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi .

Band history

Beginnings

The group began its activity as a resident band of the Milan premises Le Scimmie . In 2011 they released their first single with accompanying music video and then appeared as the opening act for Paolo Nutini , Gossip , Hurts and Atoms for Peace . In May 2014 the debut album I Want was released. a. was produced in collaboration with Rocco Tanica by the band Elio e le Storie Tese .

breakthrough

In 2015, The Kolors took part in the 14th season of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi , where she appeared in the group of Elisa . In the final on June 5, 2015, the band won with 61% of the vote and also received the journalists 'critics' award. While participating in Amici, the band released the single Everytime , which quickly reached the top of the iTunes charts, followed by their second album Out on May 19 , which immediately reached first place on the official album charts and sold over 200,000 Has been awarded four times platinum.

On June 14, 2015, The Kolors performed in Florence at the MTV Awards with Everytime . In addition, the band took part with the song Realize in a duet with Elisa and again Everytime at the Coca-Cola Summer Festival . On July 19, 2015, the band members received the honorary citizenship of their place of origin Cardito .

On September 14, 2015, Why Don't You Love Me? the next single whose music video was shot in Berlin . On November 8th, the TV channel Italia 1 showed a documentary about the group's career, followed by a concert that they gave on September 11th as part of Expo 2015 . On November 29, was in the show Che tempo che fa by Fabio Fazio 's new single OK presented officially published on December 4, and a special edition of the album Out preceded that came out on February 19 2016th

In 2017 the band returned with the album You . At the Sanremo Festival 2018 she took part with the Italian-language song Frida (may, may, may) , which reached ninth place.
