Deborah Iurato (born November 21, 1991 in Ragusa ) is an Italian pop singer . In May 2014 she won the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi .

biography

Deborah Iurato started singing at the age of five. She attended an Istituto d'arte (art high school) and performed at weddings and celebrations after graduating from school. At the end of 2013, the Sicilian appeared in the 13th season of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi and survived the preliminary round as first place in the singing category. In the spring she moved into the final as the winner of her group and prevailed there with the closest possible result of 51:49 against the winners of the other group, the band Dear Jack .

After the victory, the song Anche se fuori è inverno , which she sang in the first final round, reached number one on the Italian download charts. The album named after her with show contributions rose to number two, the top position was denied her by the album by Dear Jack . In autumn 2014, an album with new songs by Deborah Iurato was released under the title Libere . The highest ranking was eleventh when it entered the chart. At the end of the year it was announced that she had not been nominated for the 2015 Sanremo Festival . In the 2016 edition she finally appeared in a duet with Giovanni Caccamo and reached third place.
