The International Business Times is a US-based online publication with editorial headquarters in a former office of Newsweek in the Financial District , Lower Manhattan in New York . It appears in four languages ​​and seven editions.

history

The International Business Times was founded in 2005 by the French and former student of the London School of Economics , Etienne Uzac . He recruited Johnathan Davis to join the company. In 2012 Jeffrey Rothfeder was named editor-in-chief while Davis took care of content strategy.

On August 4, 2013, IBT Medien, owner of IBTimes, announced the purchase of Newsweek and newsweek.com from IAC / Interactive. The purchase did not include The Daily Beast .

In 2014, Peter S. Goodman , former executive business editor and global news editor of The Huffington Post , became publisher.

In 2015 it had more than 90 million hits every month, making it the 6th most visited business news portals on the Internet on Alexa Internet. It employs around 200 people and offers content in four languages.
