List of number one hits in Italy (2015)

Baby K and Jovanotti had the most successful song and album in the Italian charts in 2014

This list of number one hits is based on the official chart lists of the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI), the Italian national group of the IFPI , in 2015. The album charts and the top digital single charts are taken into account .

In 2015, the Sanremo Festival and the casting shows Amici and X Factor also influenced the rating. The most successful song of the year was Roma-Bangkok by Baby K , the most successful album was Lorenzo in 2015 cc. by Jovanotti . The charts initially appeared on Thursdays and related to the previous Monday – Sunday period; As an adaptation to the IFPI's New Music Fridays initiative, the charts have been published on Fridays since July 17th, with the reference period shifting to Friday-Thursday at the same time. As part of this adjustment, the data for July 6-9 have been omitted for the weekly charts.

Singles

Four of the total of eleven number one hits in 2015 came from Italian interpreters, three of which were also in Italian. Only four of the eleven singles succeeded in entering directly at the top.

Charlie Puth See You Again Justin Franks, Cameron Thomaz , Andrew Cedar, Charles Puth The title song of the film Fast & Furious 7 also brought rapper Khalifa to the top of the charts in Italy. Giusy Ferreri Roma-Bangkok Takagi & Ketra , Claudia Nahum , Rocco Pagliarulo , Federica Abbate It is the first number one hit for the Italian rapper and the third for Ferreri. Roma-Bangkok only rose to number one in its sixth week of the chart; in week 51/2015 it was awarded six times platinum for more than 300,000 downloads and streams. It ultimately turned out to be the most successful song of the year. December 4, 2015 - December 10, 2015 1 week 1 Urban Strangers Runaway Gennaro Raia, Alessio Iodice, Ennio Mirra, Raffaele Ferrante The runner-up on the talent show X Factor beat the winner Giosada in the charts by far; his song Il rimpianto di te only reached number 13. Runaway was awarded gold in week 50/2015 for more than 25,000 downloads and streams. It represents the first chart success for the Congo-born rapper in Italy and earned him a gold record for more than 25,000 downloads and streams in week 51/2015.

A total of 29 albums reached the top of the chart in 2015, including 23 by Italian artists. With two exceptions (and one returnees), all albums went straight to number one.

January 12, 2015 - January 25, 2015 2 weeks 2 Marco Mengoni Parole in circolo The third studio album by the former X-Factor and Sanremo winner went straight to number one, giving Mengoni the fifth number-one success in his six-year career. For more than 150,000 sales the album was awarded triple platinum in week 30/2015 . January 26, 2015 - February 8, 2015 2 weeks 2 J-Ax Il bello d'esser brutti With his fifth solo studio album, the rapper from Milan made his debut at number one; it was his first number one success. As part of the hip-hop group Articolo 31 , he had already reached the top of the album charts in 2002. Il bello d'esser brutti was awarded double platinum for more than 100,000 sales in week 21/2015 . February 9, 2015 - February 15, 2015 1 week (6 in total) 6th Tiziano Ferro TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro After performing at the 2015 Sanremo Festival , Ferro returned to the top of the album charts after five weeks. Annual hit parades

The top 10 of the best-selling albums in the first half of the year consisted exclusively of Italian artists; in the annual ranking, only Adele was able to assert itself among nine Italians. The singles rating was also led by Italian performers in 2015, which has not been the case for more than five years; the two Italian contributions could reach fourth and first place. While all of the top 10 albums were number one, four singles made it into the top 10 of the year even without a top spot.

Marco Mengoni managed to reach the top and then the top 10 of the year's hit parade with two different studio albums in the same year.
