Annual hit parades
Ed Sheeran was the record holder of the year, with the best-selling album and two top 10 singles. He was able to interrupt a series of exclusively Italian albums at the top of the annual charts that had been going on since 2001 ( the Beatles' album 1 last made it in 2000 ). At the same time, ÷ is also the only non-Italian album in the top 10 of the year; In the top 10 of the singles there are three placements of Italian performers, of which J-Ax & Fedez were the most successful (as in the previous year). Seven of the singles were also number one hits, while all of the top 10 albums had also been at the top (one back in 2016).
