Band history

The band was formed in Rome in 2009. Her first album Vol. 1 was released in 2011 and was created in just three days, without any post-production . In 2012, based on Liam Gallagher , the band created an ironic list of 40 insults from other Italian indie bands. In the same year she released the second album Vecchio , which was mastered at Abbey Road Studios . In 2013, the single Cose in disuso followed , which was created in collaboration with Federico Fiumani from the indie band Diaframma .

Thegiornalisti announced the third album Fuoricampo in 2014 with the single Promiscuità . The band later got a recording deal with the Carosello Records label . With the single Completamente her breakthrough in the mainstream in 2016 , with which her fourth album Completamente Sold Out became her first commercial success. In cooperation with the rapper Fabri Fibra , the successful single Pamplona was also released in 2017 , which, like the number one hit Riccione, became a summer hit .

In 2018 the band returned with the single Questa nostra stupida canzone d'amore . These followed Felicità puttana and New York , until the fifth album Love was released in September of that year . This first reached the top of the Italian charts. After an extensive tour, the summer hit Maradona y Pelé and a final concert in the Circus Maximus , singer Tommaso Paradiso announced his departure in September 2019 and began a solo career.
