Izi (rapper)

Izi (* 1995 in Savigliano , Cuneo province , as Diego Germini ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

Born in the province of Cuneo , Germini grew up in Cogoleto ( metropolitan city of Genoa ). At the age of 17 he dropped out of school and left home, whereupon he struggled without a permanent residence and finally suffered a diabetic coma . In the meantime he had also started writing and interpreting songs, inspired by Italian and international rappers, but also by the Cantautori.

At the beginning of his musical activity he carried changing pseudonyms, including Izi Erre. He later joined the Wild Bandana collective and finally called himself Izi ( easy in English ). 2016 he received the film Zeta of Cosimo Alemà the leading role as a young, aspiring rapper. After the film came out, Izi released his first album Fenice , which was preceded by the single Scusa . Announced by the single Pianto , the second album Pizzicato followed in May 2017 . It is u. a. included a collaboration with Fabri Fibra . The album hit the top of the charts straight away.
