Annual hit parades

With Coldplay only one non-Italian artist made it into the top 10 best-selling albums; In the singles category, on the other hand, only one Italian contribution managed to reach the top 10. Coldplay was the only artist in both top 10. While all of the top 10 albums were number one, five singles made it into the top 10 of the year even without a top spot.
