Francesca Costanza Michielin (born February 25, 1995 in Bassano del Grappa ) is an Italian pop singer who became known as the winner of the fifth season of X Factor in Italy.

biography

Michielin made his first musical experiences as a bassist and singer in a gospel choir in her hometown. At the age of 16 she took part in the talent show X Factor and won five of her nine rounds to the final. She sang Someone Like You from Adele and Whole Lotta Love from Led Zeppelin, among others . Her semifinal song was called Distratto and was written for her by the singer Elisa , among others . In the final on January 5, 2012, she prevailed against the singer Antonella Lo Coco and the band I Moderni and won the competition. The closing show also got special attention because it was the first 3D broadcast on Italian television. Michielin won a record deal with Sony Music worth 300,000 euros.

Her song Distratto immediately took first place in the Italian download charts after its release and sold over 60,000 times in the first week. An EP with four show titles was released shortly afterwards and placed in the top 10 of the Italian album charts . In October 2012 the first album Riflessi di me followed . Michielin gained her first concert experience as the opening act of Franco Battiato , Elio e le Storie Tese and Cristiano De André , and she also worked for the first time with the rapper Fedez for the song Cigno nero 2013 . In March 2014, she released the English-language song Amazing , which was featured on the soundtrack of the film The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro . The second collaboration with Fedez, the song Magnifico , made it to the top of the chart .

With DI20 2015 Michielins appeared second album, the successful single L'amore esiste was headed. In 2016 the singer took part in the Sanremo Festival for the first time and was able to achieve second place with the song Nessun grado di separazione . In the charts, however, she managed to jump to the top . At the same time, a new version of their second album was released under the title Di20are . Since the Sanremo winner Stadio refused to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 , Michielin moved up and represented Italy in Stockholm , where she finished 16th in the final.
