Matteo Becucci (born August 4, 1970 in Livorno ) is an Italian pop singer who became famous for his victory in the second edition of the talent show X Factor .

Career

Becucci was already active in various music groups in his youth and in 2003 he released his first album Liberi di mente . At the age of 37, he successfully applied for the casting show X Factor , where he was supervised by juror Morgan . In the final, the singer was able to prevail against The Bastard Sons of Dioniso and win a record deal with Sony Music . Immediately after the show his first EP Impossibile was released . In October of that year, the album Cioccolato amaro e caffè followed , which like the EP contained a number of cover versions , but was only moderately successful.

In 2010, Becucci played the role of Judas Iscariot in an Italian production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar . In 2011 he released the self-titled album Matteo Becucci , which again received little attention, as did the following album Tutti quanti Mery (2014).
