Il Volo (. Ital, The flight ) is a trio consisting of the Italian Operatic Pop - singers Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble. After their victory at the Sanremo Festival 2015 , they competed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 for Italy and finished third out of 27 participants with 292 points.

Career

The three pop - opera singer sang for the first time in this situation in 2009, when she at the second edition of the Italian Music Competition Ti lascio una canzone in Sanremo occurred. During the competition, the three singers were selected to sing the song 'O sole mio as a trio . After the competition they stayed together, initially under the name Il Trio, which was then changed to Il Volo.

In 2019 a new album was released with the title "Musica".
