Dori Ghezzi (born March 30, 1946 in Lentate sul Seveso ) is an Italian singer .

After winning a regional song competition in 1966, she received a recording contract with the Milanese label Durium . Her first singles were Italian versions of French and British songs.

In 1972 she founded a duo with the singer Wess . She successfully participated with him at the Sanremo Festival and was also allowed to compete with him for Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 . With the funk title Era , they reached third place. By 1979 the duo had released seven albums.

In 1979 she and her partner Fabrizio De André were kidnapped in Sardinia and only released after four months and payment of a ransom of 550 million lire. The kidnappers have been sentenced to long prison terms.

In the 1980s there were four more solo albums by Dori Ghezzi.

Ghezzi was married to the singer Fabrizio De André from 1989 until his death in 1999 .
