Emis Killa (* 14. November 1989 in Vimercate as Emiliano Rudolf Giambelli ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

Giambelli started rapping at the age of 14. But it wasn't until 2007 that he drew attention to himself by participating in the Tecniche perfette competition , where he won the title of Italian freestyle rap champion. With the independent label of the collective Blocco Records he released mix tapes like Keta Music and Champagne e spine ; the latter also made the rapper popular on the internet.

In 2011 Emis Killa signed a record deal with Carosello Records and released the album Il Peggiore as a free download. The first official album was L'erba cattiva and was released in early 2012. The successful single from it was Parole di ghiaccio . Together with Club Dogo , J-Ax and Marracash (as a rapper per Emilia ), he also recorded the charity single Se il mondo fosse on the occasion of the earthquake in northern Italy , which reached number two in the charts. At the end of the year he reissued L'erba cattiva in the gold version .

The second album was released in 2013, Mercurio . This reached number one on the Italian album charts. After several singles, he recorded the official song for the World Cup in Brazil , Maracanã, for Sky Italia in 2014 . The song became Emis Killa's first number one hit and was included on the 5 Star Edition of Mercurio . In 2015, Keta Music Vol. 2 was another mixtape on Blocco Records . In 2016, the rapper appeared as a juror at the fourth edition of The Voice of Italy and followed up with the album Terza stagione in October .
