Rocco Hunt

Rocco Hunt (* 21st November 1994 in Salerno as Rocco Pagliarulo ), also known as Hunt MC , is an Italian rapper . He gained greater fame when he won the 2014 Sanremo Festival in the Newcomer category.

Career

Pagliarulo comes from the Pastena district in Salerno and started hip-hop and freestyle rap at a young age . In 2010 he published his first mixtape 'A music è speranz' as Rocco Hunt . This was followed in 2011 by the mixtape Spiraglio di periferia , which u. a. also included a collaboration with Clementino . In 2013 the rapper was able to sign a record deal with the major label Sony Music and released his first album Poeta urbano there .

In 2014, Hunt took part in the 2014 Sanremo Festival in the newcomer category and won with Nu juorno buono . He then released the second album 'A verità' , which immediately reached number one on the Italian album charts. After further single releases, Hunt took part in the Coca-Cola Summer Festival . In November a new edition of the album was released under the title 'A verità 2.0 . At the end of the year he also edited the autobiographical book Il sole tra i palazzi bei Mondadori together with Federico Vacalebre .

At the end of 2015 Hunt announced his third studio album with the release of the single Vene e vvà , which was released on October 23 of that year under the title SignorHunt . At the 2016 Sanremo Festival , Hunt entered the main category for the first time and achieved ninth place with Wake Up . This was followed by the Signor Hunt - Wake Up Edition . In the following years, the rapper released several singles, including the football song Benvenuti in Italy for the U21 European Championship in Italy in 2019 .
