Achille Lauro (* 11 July 1990 in Verona as Lauro De Marinis ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

On the recommendation of his teachers, he attended one of the best ancient language grammar schools in Rome, which he only attended regularly for the first three months. He then wrote apologies to himself under his mother's name and skipped classes. When he was 14 years old, his parents moved to another city. At his own request, he stayed behind in the apartment with his five years older brother Federico, who accompanied the hip-hop collective Quarto Blocco as a producer .

Lauro came to music through his brother, and with his help he released his first mixtape Barabba in 2012 . After another mixtape, Harvard , Lauro's first album Achille idol immortale was released in 2014 on Marracash's label Roccia Music . He worked on it a. a. with Coez , Gemitaiz and Noyz Narcos . The next year the second album Dio c'è followed . The rapper then founded his own label No Face Agency and released the album Ragazzi madre there in 2016 .

Together with producer Boss Doms (Edoardo Manozzi), Lauro took part in the reality show Pechino Express (Italian version of Peking Express ) on Rai 2 in 2017 . He then worked with Boss Doms on a new album, which was released in 2018 under the title Pour l'amour by the major label Sony . Again, numerous fellow rappers were involved, including Clementino and Rocco Hunt . At the Sanremo Festival 2019 Lauro came ninth with Rolls Royce , at the Sanremo Festival 2020 with Me ne frego came eighth.
