Ana Mena Rojas (born February 25, 1997 in Estepona , province of Málaga ) is a Spanish pop singer and actress .

Career

Ana Mena became interested in music from an early age. In 2006 she entered the twelfth edition of the Veo Veo competition and won, which was the first time she received public attention. She then appeared in various television programs and in 2009 she played the young Marisol in the miniseries Marisol, la película on Antena 3 . Her breakthrough as a singer finally came in 2010 through the My Camp Rock 2 competition on Disney Channel , which she won. Ana Mena also took on acting roles in the telecinco series Supercharly and the film The Skin I Live in by Pedro Almodóvar . She has also appeared on film soundtracks , including Sharpay's Fabulous World . In 2012 she appeared as a presenter at the Malaga Film Festival and took her first steps in the fashion business. In 2013 she got the lead role in the music series Vive cantando on Antena 3 .

At the end of 2015 Ana Mena released the single No soy como tú crees , which brought her comparisons with Meghan Trainor . Due to the streaming success of the song, she was awarded the title Artista Spotlight Spotify 2016 . This was followed by the singles Loco como yo and Se fue , as well as Ahora lloras tú in collaboration with CNCO , which also brought her international attention. Other singles were Mentira (2017, with RK) and Ya es hora (2018, with Becky G and De La Ghetto ). In 2018 Ana Mena released her debut album Index. In the same year, the singer was also heard in the Italian summer hit D'estate non vale by Fred De Palma . She continued this collaboration in 2019 with the single Una volta ancora , which reached the top of the Italian single charts . The song was also a great success in Spain, where it was published under the title Se iluminaba with full Spanish lyrics. In summer 2020 Ana Mena returned to the top of the Italian charts with the song A un passo dalla luna , this time in collaboration with rapper Rocco Hunt .
