Özcan Coşar (spelling also Özcan Cosar , born April 6, 1981 in Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt ) is a German comedian , cabaret artist , presenter and actor of Turkish descent .

Life

Coşar started breakdancing at the age of twelve . In 1996 he co-founded the breakdance crew Dynamic Move . Two years later he joined the United B-Boys , with whom he took part in both national and international events and competitions and won titles. Due to his talent and his joy in this dance form, he began teaching breakdance at the Burger & Schäfer dance school in 1999. In 2000 he won the German B-Boys championship in Hamm .

In 2004, a friend asked him if he would like to host the Battle of the Month . After Coşar had agreed, he also had an appearance on a stage for the first time. In the following years he moderated the FIFA Interactive World Cup Tour and the world's largest games fair, the Games Convention . Four years after hosting the Battle of the Month , Coşar made his first stand-up comedy appearance in the Corso Bar in Stuttgart . He then gave the premiere of his first comedy show 2guys1stage with Yavuz Köroğlu in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart .

In the Stuttgart Theaterhaus production What does love mean here? he made his acting debut in 2009 . He played the main role. Coşar also participated in the performance of The Twelve Jurors .

On January 14, 2014 Coşar made his first appearance on TV total on ProSieben. His second appearance followed that same year on September 11th.

The premiere of his first comedy solo show Adam & Erdal - Der Inseparable was at the beginning of 2012. Three years later, on March 5, 2015, the solo show You have changed completely followed . Coşar gave his premiere of the third solo show Old School - The Future Can Wait on September 20, 2017 in front of a sold-out audience in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart. On November 25, 2019, the preview of his fourth solo show Cosar Nostra - Organized Comedy also began in Stuttgart . Since then he has been touring Germany with his programs.

Coşar was a permanent member of RebellComedy from 2013 to 2016 .

In 2019 he took part in the 12th season of the live dance show Let's Dance . At the side of the professional dancer Marta Arndt , he took 13th place.

Since October 2019, Coşar and Bastian Bielendorfer have been publishing the weekly 1LIVE podcast Bratwurst and Baklava . Since June 2020 Coşar has had the TVNOW podcast 08/17 together with Chris Tall .

Family and private

Coşar's parents, Emine and Musa, lived in Samsun in the Black Sea region before they emigrated to Germany in the 1970s . Coşar was born in 1981 in the St. Anna Clinic in Bad Cannstatt , a district of Stuttgart . He has two sisters. He grew up in the Zazenhausen district of Stuttgart . At the age of ten, he moved with his family to the Stuttgart district of Hausen , where he attended the Weilimdorf secondary school. After graduating from secondary school, he attended the vocational college for a year. He then worked as an operator for laser printing and later completed training as a dental assistant and sports teacher. During his school days he distributed newspapers and worked as a waiter in restaurants.

In 2009, Coşar took on German citizenship and at the same time surrendered the Turkish passport. In 2011 he met his wife Neslihan, whom he married in 2012. The couple have two children, a daughter born in 2013 and a son born in 2017. The family lives in Böblingen .
