Punta Serrano is a headland of Greenwich Island in the Archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 1.5 km south-southwest of Canto Point at the northwest end of Discovery Bay .
Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) named the headland after Fernando Serrano Reinella, surgeon on board the Iquique on this research trip .
