The constituency of Styria 14 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Styria . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I became effective on January 26, 1907 . The new Reichsrat election regulations created a total of 416 electoral districts, with the exception of Galicia in each constituency one member was elected in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Styria 14 comprised the following judicial districts:
- Liezen (excluding the municipalities of Liezen and Admont , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Rottenmann (without the municipality of Selzthal , see constituency Styria 6 )
- Irdning (without the municipality of Irdning , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Aussee (excluding the municipalities of Aussee , Altaussee and Reitern , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Gröbming (excluding the community of Gröbming , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Schladming (without the municipality of Schladming , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Oberzeiring (without the municipality of Oberzeiring , see constituency Styria 7 )
- Oberwölz (excluding the municipalities of Oberwölz and St. Peter am Kammersberg , see constituency Styria 7 )
In the 1907 Reichsrat election, Ferdinand Pantz from the Christian Social Party prevailed with 52.9% in the first ballot. Behind him came the agrarian Großwnag with 24.7% and the social democrat Schacherl with 21.8%. In the 1911 Reichsrat election, Pantz was able to successfully defend his mandate again with 56.9% in the first ballot. He relegated the social democrat Hammerstorfer with 22.6% and the agrarian Riemelmoser with 20.1% to the places,

The 1907 Reichsrat election was held on May 14, 1907 (first ballot). The runoff election was dropped because of the absolute majority for Ferdinand Pantz in the first ballot.

The 1911 Reichsrat election was held on June 13, 1911 (first ballot). The runoff election was dropped due to the absolute majority for Franz Prisching in the first ballot.
