The constituency of Styria 12 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Styria . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .

After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . The new Reichsrat election regulations created a total of 416 electoral districts, with the exception of Galicia in each constituency one member was elected in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Styria 12 comprised the following judicial districts:
- Mürzzuschlag (without the municipalities of Mürzzuschlag and Langenwang , see constituency Styria 5 )
- Kindberg (excluding the communities of Kindberg Markt , Kindberg Land , Krieglach , Mitterndorf and Wartberg , see constituency Styria 5 )

In the 1907 Reichsrat election, Michael Schoiswohl from the Christian Social Party won the first ballot with 61.1%. Behind him came the social democrat Johann Hamersdorfer with 26.3% and the farmers' group Josef Hainzl with 12.3%. In the 1911 Reichsrat election, Schoiswohl was again able to take first place with 57.9% in the first ballot.
